Initial Marine Survey in La Rochelle
Our journey began in the maritime capital of La Rochelle. We conducted a comprehensive pre-purchase marine survey on the Bavaria 50 while it was afloat. The inspection covered mechanical, electrical, hull, and rigging systems. Potential issues and risks were documented in detail.
Haul Out, Hull Washing, and Osmosis Testing
Following the sea trial, we coordinated with a marina and boatyard to haul out the yacht, perform a high-pressure hull wash, and let it dry under the sun for 3 full days. After drying, we carried out an osmosis test, measured hull thickness, and checked for any previous damage, repairs, or cracks in the gelcoat. All findings were clearly reported.
Bargaining With Evidence Based Survey Report
The survey report we prepared played a strategic role during negotiations. With factual data in hand, we negotiated effectively and our client's offer was accepted a satisfying success supported by strong technical documentation.
Foreign Company Formation, Flag Registration & Insurance
To ensure a smooth transaction under a foreign flag, we formed an offshore company on behalf of the buyer. After finalizing the payment, we completed the flag registration and arranged international yacht insurance, all with full consultancy provided by Esta Yachting.
Final Preparations and Export to Turkey
After the official documentation, we moved on to antifouling, hull polishing, and full engine & transmission servicing. With everything ready, the yacht was officially exported and our experienced long distance captains took the helm. From the Atlantic Ocean to the Strait of Gibraltar and across the Mediterranean, we delivered the yacht safely to Fethiye, Turkey, marking another proud achievement for Esta Yachting.
