This wasn’t just a transfer it was a test of seamanship, endurance, technical expertise, and most importantly, teamwork. The crew consisted of Esta Yachting’s founder and long-distance captain Ersel Arnavutoğlu, his experienced first mate Fahri Ersoy, our client Mr. Orkun, along with his nephews Mr. Murat and Mr. Orhana closeknit five man crew with one shared mission
The Journey Begins From La Rochelle to the Bosphorus
The Lagoon catamaran was thoroughly surveyed and inspected in La Rochelle, France, a port known for its marine heritage. Once the boat passed our comprehensive expert checks, provisioning and technical preparations began. After stocking up on supplies, spare parts, and safety gear, we set sail undaunted by the scale of what lay ahead.
The route included critical stops for refueling, repairs, and resupply
Lisbon, Portugal
Las Palmas, Canary Islands
Mindelo, Cape Verde
Then across the vast Atlantic to Martinique for maintenance and rest
Through the Strait of Gibraltar, navigating commercial traffic and strong winds
And onward to Athens, Greece for customs and paperwork
Before reaching our final destination: Marmaris, Turkey

The Atlantic tested us with heavy swells, shifting winds, and nights under endless skies. Our crew battled exhaustion, salt, and solitude. But the catamaran remained solid proof of the meticulous inspections we performed before departure.
